Home > Technologies > ScanLib ScanLib is our 3D Scanner specific library. ScanLib is capable of reading Dr. Picza PIX files. We are currently researching and adding new scanner specific technologies to ScanLib. ScanLib has been used in all our PIX file import plug-ins for various CAD systems. The PIX File Format The PIX file format is the native file format of a digitizer software called Dr. Picza which comes bundled with Roland DG digitizers. The digitizer scans an object and transfers the 3D point data to the Dr. Picza software which saves it in the PIX file format. PIX files can contain scan data in two formats: surface and polygon mesh. The surface format is used when the top surface of an object is being digitized, whereas the polygon mesh format is used when the entire surface of an object is being digitized. Licensing ScanLib is available as a DLL with associated header (.H) and library (.LIB) files for the following compilers: Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 Microsoft Visual C++ .NET 2002 Microsoft Visual C++ .NET 2003 Microsoft Visual C++ .NET 2005 Please contact us if you wish to license the ScanLib library to be used in your commercial or in-house software.
