MeshLib is our polygon mesh creation, editing and modeling library. MeshLib has been used in all our mesh modeling plug-ins for various CAD systems as well as standalone applications.

Features

The features of MeshLib can be broadly classified as:

Mesh Creation: MeshLib can create a mesh from a set of unorganized points. These points can describe the top surface (such as a points data from a geographical survey) or they can describe a closed object.

Mesh Editing: Often meshes need to be manually edited for various reasons. MeshLib makes this very easy by offering a host of functions to edit vertices, edges, faces and entire meshes.

Mesh Modeling: MeshLib also offers several mesh modeling functions. These functions help in altering the general topology of the mesh thereby making it suitable for further operations. Mesh modeling functions include extrude, chamfer, offset, smooth, cut, slice, shell, face reduction, etc.

Mesh Data Extraction: MeshLib is capable of extracting key geometric information from meshes such as boundary edges, holes, surfaces, shells, etc.

Mesh Tools: These are the utility functions related to meshes.
