SYCODE launches Mesh To Solid for AutoCAD
Panaji - 5th July, 2006 - SYCODE today launched Mesh To
Solid for AutoCAD, a polygon mesh to 3d solid conversion plug-in for
AutoCAD. This plug-in, like all other AutoCAD plug-ins developed by
SYCODE, works with AutoCAD 2000, 2000i, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Meshes are often used to describe closed solid or open surface objects.
AutoCAD does not have
methods to manipulate or modify mesh objects. Solid modeling operations
such as boolean operations (add, subtract, intersect), extrude,
offset, taper, etc. are possible only with solid or surface
objects. Moreover, AutoCAD does not have a ability to convert a mesh into a solid so that
the solid modeling operations can be carried out on it. Mesh To Solid
for AutoCAD
solves this problem by giving AutoCAD the ability to convert a mesh to a
solid.
"Converting a mesh into a solid has probably been one of the
most wanted wishes of AutoCAD users",
explains Deelip Menezes, proprietor of SYCODE. "AutoCAD users
usually find themselves stuck with meshes with no means of further
modeling them. SYCODE has an IntelliCAD based solution that offers mesh
to solid conversion capability. We received several requests from
AutoCAD users to create a similar plug-in for AutoCAD. We hope that Mesh
To Solid for AutoCAD makes their life easier."
