SYCODE launches its first product - Terrain for Rhino
Panaji - 11th Oct, 2004 - SYCODE today launched the first of many products for the Architecture Engineering Construction (AEC) industry. The product is a terrain modeling plug-in for Rhinoceros called Terrain for Rhino.
Terrain for Rhino gives Rhino the ability to create a terrain mesh from a set of unordered points. The terrain mesh is created as a Delaunay Triangulation which is regarded as the best method to create a terrain mesh from unorganized point data.
"The features and capabilities of Rhinoceros make it a very useful design and visualization software for architects, landscape designers, site planners and surveyors", explains Deelip Menezes, proprietor of SYCODE. "Our plug-ins extend these capabilities even further".
Terrain for Rhino is powered by PointLib, a state of the art terrain modeling library developed by SYCODE. PointLib employs blazing fast algorithms and cutting-edge technology to yield superior terrain models in very less time.

SYCODE develops cutting-edge software solutions for Computer Aided Design (CAD). These solutions are in the form of standalone applications or plug-ins that work inside major CAD systems such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk VIZ, Autodesk 3D Studio MAX, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Maya, Rhinoceros, Surfcam, etc.
SYCODE also designs, develops and implements customized software solutions for companies worldwide. The customized solution may be a standalone application working closely with the client's existing CAD application or a plug-in to the CAD application.
Rhinoceros is an affordable NURBS modeling software for Windows from Robert McNeel & Associates. Over the years Rhinoceros has made its mark as a perfect companion to all the major CAD systems. Rhinoceros is best suited for NURBS-based conceptual design, free-form curve, surface, solid and polygon mesh terrain modeling for architects, landscape designers, site planners and surveyors.
McNeel has taken the best features of all the major CAD systems and integrated them into Rhinoceros thereby making it one of the easiest CAD systems to work with. The extensive API provided by McNeel allows developers to extend its capabilities to new levels.
At an unbelievable price of 895 USD, Rhinoceros is value for money. Students and teachers can get it for as low as 195 USD.
