VTK Import for SolidWorks - Vizualization Toolkit VTK file Import add-in for SolidWorks

VTKImport > Import

This command imports geometric data from ASCII and Binary VTK files into SolidWorks


To import a VTK file

1.  Select Import from the "VTKImport" submenu.

2.  You will be presented with a "Open" dialog box. Browse for the VTK file you wish to import and click Open.

3.  The "VTK Import Options" dialog box is displayed. Set the options as required and click OK.

Note:

SolidWorks 2001 and earlier do not support multi-body parts. If the VTK file comprises of more than one object, only the first one will be imported and the others will be ignored.
