VTK Export for Rhino is a Visualization Toolkit VTK file export plug-in for Rhinoceros. This plug-in gives Rhinoceros the ability to export geometric data from Rhinoceros to ASCII and Binary VTK files.

VTK Export for Rhino extracts facet data from solids, surfaces and meshes in the active Rhino model and exports them to polygon mesh objects in a  VTK file.

VTK Export for Rhino is very easy to use. It adds new commands to Rhinoceros. Once installed, it automatically loads itself into Rhinoceros and adds a new submenu called "VTKExport" to the Rhinoceros menu containing the newly added commands.

Installation & Usage

Since VTK Export for Rhino is a plug-in for Rhinoceros, it must be loaded into the Rhinoceros environment before it can be used. Please follow the simple instructions in the VTK Export for Rhino ReadMe document which is copied into the installation folder.
