Solid To Mesh for AutoCAD - Polygon solid to 3d mesh conversion plug-in for AutoCAD


In this tutorial we will learn how to convert a solid into a mesh.


Step 1: Start AutoCAD

Step 2: Open the file C:\Program Files\SYCODE\Solid To Mesh for AutoCAD\Samples\Sample 1.dwg

Step 3: Run the Convert Solid command from the "SolidToMesh" menu or type SMConvertSolid at the AutoCAD command prompt.

Step 5: At the AutoCAD prompt Select Objects and press Enter.


The solid is converted into a mesh having the same color and layer as the original solid and the result of the operation is reported in the command window. This is shown in the below figure.

This tutorial shows the ease at which a solid can be converted into a mesh.


In the next tutorial we will learn how to convert a mesh from a solid stored in an external solid file.
