Solid To Mesh for AutoCAD - Polygon solid to 3d mesh conversion plug-in for AutoCAD


This tutorial is a continuation of the previous tutorial. In this tutorial we will create a mesh from a solid stored in an external solid file.


Step 1: Delete the mesh created in the previous tutorial.

Step 2: Select Convert Solid File from the "SolidToMesh" menu or type SMConvertSolidFile at the AutoCAD command prompt and press Enter.

Step 3: The AutoCAD Open dialog box is displayed. Browse for the file C:\Program Files\SYCODE\Solid To Mesh AutoCAD\Samples\Piston.sat and click Open.

The figures below shows the solid file used in this tutorial and the mesh created from it.

The solid is converted into a mesh on the current layer and the result of the operation is reported in the command window.
