SKP Export for Pro/ENGINEER is a SketchUp SKP file export plug-in for Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire®. This plug-in gives Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire the ability to export 3D solid data from a Pro/ENGINEER part and assembly document to mesh objects in a SketchUp SKP file.

SKP Export for Pro/ENGINEER tessellates the solid bodies in a Pro/ENGINEER part or assembly document into individual triangular meshes. These meshes are then exported to a SKP file as mesh objects. The SKP file can them be imported into SketchUp and other applications that read SKP files.

SKP Export for Pro/ENGINEER is very easy to use. Once installed, it must be loaded into the Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire environment. Follow the simple instructions in the "ReadMe" document which can be found in the installation folder. Once loaded, it adds new commands to Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire and a submenu called "SKPExport" to the Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire menu.

Our licenses are single computer licenses and are locked to each computer they are installed on. Basically, the license key is specific to the computer's Host ID (the MAC address of the computer), and will not work on another computer. The installer picks up the physical MAC address of the network card connected to the computer which is basically “Ethernet adapter Network Connect Adapter”. So unless you change your network card, the key will always work even if you reinstall your operating system. If your internal network is periodically assigning a different Host ID to your computer, then please find a solution for this with your IT department.

Installation & Usage

Since SKP Export for Pro/ENGINEER is a plug-in for Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, it must be loaded into the Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire environment before it can be used. Please follow the simple instructions in the SKP Export for Pro/ENGINEER ReadMe document which is copied into the installation folder. After you have loaded the plug-in file into Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, simply click on the menu items in the "SKPExport" submenu to run these new commands. Truly, software made simple!
