SKP Export for IRONCAD extracts facet data from 3D Solids the active IRONCAD document and exports it to a meshes in a SKP file.

SKP Export for IRONCAD is very easy to use. Once installed, it automatically loads itself into IRONCAD and adds a new menu called "SKPExport" to the IRONCAD menu.

Our licenses are single computer licenses and are locked to each computer they are installed on. Basically, the license key is specific to the computer's Host ID (the MAC address of the computer), and will not work on another computer. The installer picks up the physical MAC address of the network card connected to the computer which is basically “Ethernet adapter Network Connect Adapter”. So unless you change your network card, the key will always work even if you reinstall your operating system. If your internal network is periodically assigning a different Host ID to your computer, then please find a solution for this with your IT department.

Installation & Usage

Since SKP Export for IRONCAD is an add-in for IRONCAD, it must be loaded into the IRONCAD environment before it can be used. Please follow the simple instructions in the SKP Export for IRONCAD ReadMe document which is copied into the installation folder. After you have loaded the add-in file into IRONCAD, simply click on the menu items in the "SKPExport" submenu to run these new commands. Truly, software made simple!

The SKP File Format

SketchUp is a 3D modeling program designed for architects, civil engineers, filmmakers, game developers, and related professions. It also includes features to facilitate the placement of models in Google Earth. It is marketed as an easy-to-use conceptual tool with a simple interface. A well known feature in the SketchUp World is the 3D Warehouse. Users can use their Google Accounts to upload models, and then browse the 3D Warehouse for many components and models. SketchUp's native file format is has a SKP extension.
