Pro/ENGINEER Import for Rhino is a plug-in for Rhino. This plug-in gives Rhino the ability to import 3D solid data from Pro/ENGINEER part (PRT) and assembly (ASM) files.
Pro/ENGINEER Import for Rhino creates true 3D solids in Rhino which can then be edited using Rhino’s solid modeling tools just like any other 3D solid. This plug-in does not need Pro/ENGINEER to be installed on the computer or on the network.
Pro/ENGINEER Import for Rhino is powered by the widely used 3D InterOp technology from Spatial. 3D InterOp is the industry standard for proprietary CAD file format data exchange and is used in almost all the major CAD systems. Besides data exchange 3D InterOp also offers powerful repairing and healing features which are extensively used in Pro/ENGINEER Import for Rhino. Repairing involves checking the file for corrupted data and fixing the invalid data. Healing corrects the differences in precision. Pro/ENGINEER Import for Rhino also creates a detailed log file which is extremely useful in identifying data translation problems and aids in locating and fixing errors.

Pro/ENGINEER Import for Rhino is very easy to use. Once installed, it must be loaded into the Rhino environment. There are simple instructions for this in the ReadMe file. Once loaded it adds new commands to Rhino's existing commands and a new submenu called "ProENGINEERImport" to the Rhino menu containing these newly added commands.
Pro/ENGINEER Import for Rhino is designed to work with the following versions of Rhino:
Below is the hardware, software and operating system requirements for Rhino plug-ins running on the Microsoft Windows platform.
Download & Purchase
Please download a fully functional trial of Pro/ENGINEER Import for Rhino by clicking on the "Download Now" button below. To start using the software, you need a license key. A license key can be of two types: Trial or Permanent. A trial key is issued to you on the purchase of '7 day license' so that you may try the software before you purchase a permanent key. A permanent key is issued after you have purchased a license. We are confident that during the trial period (7 days with unlimited runs) you will find Pro/ENGINEER Import for Rhino extremely useful. Later when you decide to buy the software please return to this page and click the "Buy with/without Subscription" button to place your order. Upon verifying the order you will recieve an e-mail with instructions on how to obtain your permanent key. We will create and send you your Key by e-mail within one business day. To avoid disruption in your workflow we urge you to place your order before the trial period ends.
IMPORTANT! Purchasing a Subscription is highly recommended since it the most cost effective way of keeping your software up to date. Moreover, Subscription entitles you to get a second free perpetual license for your laptop, among many other benefits. For details please read the SYCODE License and Subscription Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
Our licenses are single computer licenses and are locked to each computer they are installed on. Basically, the license key is specific to the computer's Host ID (the MAC address of the computer), and will not work on another computer. The installer picks up the physical MAC address of the network card connected to the computer which is basically “Ethernet adapter Network Connect Adapter”. So unless you change your network card, the key will always work even if you reinstall your operating system. If your internal network is periodically assigning a different Host ID to your computer, then please find a solution for this with your IT department.
Note: Downloading this software indicates your acceptance to the SYCODE
Software License Agreement. The price mentioned above is for a single user license. For
your bulk-licensing needs please contact us.

Created by Dr. Samuel P. Geisberg in the mid-1980s, Pro/ENGINEER was the industry's first successful parametric, 3D CAD modeling system. The parametric modeling approach uses parameters, dimensions, features, and relationships to capture intended product behavior and create a recipe which enables design automation and the optimization of design and product development processes. This powerful and rich design approach is used by companies whose product strategy is family-based or platform-driven, where a prescriptive design strategy is critical to the success of the design process by embedding engineering constraints and relationships to quickly optimize the design, or where the resulting geometry may be complex or based upon equations. Pro/ENGINEER provides a complete set of design, analysis and manufacturing capabilities on one, integral, scalable platform. These capabilities, include Solid Modeling, Surfacing, Rendering, Data Interoperability, Routed Systems Design, Simulation, Tolerance Analysis, and NC and Tooling Design.
