PLT Import for KeyCreator is a HPGL Plot (.plt) file import add-in for KeyCreator®. This add-in gives KeyCreator the ability to import geometric data from PLT files.

PLT Import for KeyCreatorreads pen movement data stored PLT files and imports it into KeyCreator. A HPGL PLT file is comprised of a set of instructions related to pen movements of HPGL plotters. PLT Import for KeyCreator reads these pen movement instructions and creates curve objects in the active KeyCreator document.

PLT Import for KeyCreator is designed to be extremely user friendly and easy to understand. Once installed, it must be loaded into the KeyCreator environment. To load the add-in follow the simple instructions in the ReadMe file. Once loaded it adds new commands to KeyCreator. It also add a new submenu called "PLT Import for KeyCreator" to the KeyCreator's "Add-Ins" menu containing these commands.

Our licenses are single computer licenses and are locked to each computer they are installed on. Basically, the license key is specific to the computer's Host ID (the MAC address of the computer), and will not work on another computer. The installer picks up the physical MAC address of the network card connected to the computer which is basically “Ethernet adapter Network Connect Adapter”. So unless you change your network card, the key will always work even if you reinstall your operating system. If your internal network is periodically assigning a different Host ID to your computer, then please find a solution for this with your IT department.

Installation & Usage

Since PLT Import for KeyCreator is an add-in for KeyCreator, it must be loaded into the KeyCreator environment before it can be used. The PLT File Format

HPGL is the Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language designed for specifying 2D graphical information for the HP range of plotters. It was not intended as an interchange format but some software suppliers use it as such. HPGL is a command set embedded in the ROM of pen plotters to help reduce the work required by applications programmers to create plotted output. HPGL uses two-letter mnemonics as instructions for drawing lines, circles, text, and simple symbols. HPGL is the primary printer control language used by Hewlett-Packard plotters. It later became a standard for almost all plotters.
