General Information
===================
PLT Import for IntelliCAD is a plug-in for IntelliCAD powered applications. You will need to load the plug-in file into the IntelliCAD powered application to start using the plug-in. Please refer to the "Getting Started" document for detailed instructions on how to load the plug-in into your IntelliCAD powered application. You can open the document at Start -> Programs -> SYCODE -> PLT Import for IntelliCAD -> Getting Started


Usage:
======
PLT Import for IntelliCAD adds new commands to your IntelliCAD powered application. The commands added are:
1) PLTImport - Imports a PLT file.
2) PLTImportHelp - Displays the PLT Import for IntelliCAD help file.
3) PLTImportRegister - Registers your copy of PLT Import for IntelliCAD.
4) PLTImportAbout - Displays the PLT Import for IntelliCAD about box.


Sample Files:
=============
Sample PLT files are copied into the Samples folder which is located in the PLT Import for IntelliCAD installation folder (typically "C:\Program Files\SYCODE\PLT Import for IntelliCAD\"). You can try PLT Import for IntelliCAD using these sample files.

CRITICAL INFORMATION FOR DWGEDITOR USERS
========================================
DWGeditor from SolidWorks is based on IntelliCAD technology but has been heavily customized by SolidWorks. Due to this, the normal IntelliCAD plug-in DLL (PLTImport.dll) will not load into DWGeditor. A special version of the plug-in DLL called PLTImportDWGeditor.dll has been created which is compatible with DWGeditor. Please follow the following steps to successfully load PLT Import for IntelliCAD into DWGeditor.

(1) When using the "SYCODE IntelliCAD Plug-in Installer" program, the normal plug-in DLL (PLTImport.dll) will be selected by default. Please change this to PLTImportDWGeditor.dll.

(2) After installation run Windows Explorer and go to the folder containing the DWGeditor executable file (DWGeditor.exe). This folder will contain a file called icad.sds, which contains the file names of all the plug-in DLLs that must be automatically loaded when IntelliCAD starts. In the case of DWGeditor this file must be called DWGeditor.sds. So rename icad.sds to DWGeditor.sds. If a file called DWGeditor.sds already exists do not overwrite it. Instead open DWGeditor.sds and icad.sds in a text editor (such as NotePad). Find the line containing PLTImportDWGeditor.dll in icad.sds, copy the entire line and paste it into a new line in DWGeditor.sds. Save DWGeditor.sds and close it. The next time you start DWGeditor, PLT Import for IntelliCAD will be automatically loaded.
