OBJImport > Import

The Import command imports geometric data from OBJ files into SolidWorks.


To Import an OBJ file

1. Select Import from the OBJImport menu.

2. The SolidWorks file Open dialog box is displayed. Browse for the OBJ file you wish to import and click Open.

Note: SolidWorks 2001 and earlier do not support multi-body parts. If the OBJ file comprises of more than one object, only the first one will be imported and the others will be ignored.
