The features of MeshCAD for Rhino can be broadly classified as: Mesh Creation: MeshCAD for Rhino can create a mesh from a set of unorganized points. These points can describe the top surface (such as a points data from a geographical survey) or they can describe a closed object. Mesh Editing: Often meshes need to be manually edited for various reasons. MeshCAD for Rhino makes this very easy by offering a host of commands to edit vertices, edges, faces and entire meshes. Mesh Modeling: MeshCAD for Rhino also offers several mesh modeling commands. These commands help in altering the general topology of the mesh thereby making it suitable for further operations. Mesh modeling commands include extrude, chamfer, offset, smooth, cut, slice, shell, face reduction, etc. Mesh Data Extraction: MeshCAD for Rhino is capable of extracting key geometric information from meshes such as boundary edges, holes, surfaces, shells, etc. Mesh Tools: These are the utility commands related to meshes. MeshCAD for Rhino is designed to be extremely user
friendly and easy to understand. Once installed, it
automatically loads itself into the Rhino environment. If automatic
loading fails there are manual loading instructions in the
ReadMe file.
Once loaded it adds new commands to Rhino's existing
commands and a new submenu called "MeshCAD" to the Rhino menu
containing these newly added commands.
