MeshCAD for Rhino - Mesh creation, editing and modeling plug-in for Rhinoceros

     Menu Button

MeshCAD > Tools > Mesh To SAT
     Command       MCMeshToSAT

This command exports a mesh to ACIS to SAT file formats. Rhino SAT Export Translator is unable to write meshes to SAT files. The MCMeshToSAT command overcomes this limitation.

To convert a mesh to SAT
1. At the Select mesh prompt, select the mesh.

Note:
·  Before writing the Mesh To SAT file, an attempt is made to join adjacent triangles into valid quads.

Tip:
A more efficient way to export a mesh in Rhino to solid in a SAT file is by using the MCMeshToSolid command to convert the mesh into a 'clean' solid and then use Rhino's export command to write the solid to a SAT file.
