MeshCAD for Rhino - Mesh creation, editing and modeling plug-in for Rhinoceros
 

This command sub-divides a mesh into smaller segments. A triangle face is sub-divided into 4 triangle faces, whereas a quad face is sub-divided into 4 quad faces. The edges of the face to be sub-divided are split at their mid points giving rise to new vertices. The faces sharing these edges are also split at these new vertices.

To subdivide a mesh
1. At the Select mesh prompt, select the mesh.

Fig.A shows the mesh to be subdivided.
Fig.B shows the mesh after being subdivided.
