MeshCAD for Rhino - Mesh creation, editing and modeling plug-in for Rhinoceros
 

This command sub-divides a face. A triangle face is sub-divided into 4 triangle faces, whereas a quad face is sub-divided into 4 quad faces. The edges of the face to be sub-divided are split at their mid points giving rise to new vertices. The faces sharing these edges are also split at these new vertices.

To subdivide a face
1. At the Select mesh faces prompt, select the faces to be subdivided.

Fig.A shows the faces to be subdivided.

Fig.B shows the changes in the mesh.

Note:
·  To deselect a chosen face, press Control and click the face.
