MeshCAD for Rhino - Mesh creation, editing and modeling plug-in for Rhinoceros

     Command       MCSplitFace


This command splits a face into triangles.
A face is split by adding a new vertex at the selected point and replacing the selected face by 3 or 4 triangle faces. If the face to be split is a triangle, it is replaced by 3 triangle faces. If it is a quad, it is replaced by 4 triangle faces.

To split a face
1. At the Select mesh prompt, select the mesh.
2. At the Pick point prompt, select a point on the face to be split.


In Fig.A the marked face is to be split at a point. (Marked in blue)
Fig.B shows the split edge forming four triangles.

Note:
·  To deselect a chosen face, press Control and click the face.
