Mesh To Solid for AutoCAD - Mesh to 3D solid conversion plug-in for AutoCAD

Mesh To Solid for AutoCAD is a plug-in for AutoCAD which gives AutoCAD the ability to convert a mesh to a 3D solid.

General solid modeling software, such as AutoCAD, does not have methods to manipulate or modify mesh objects. Solid modeling operations such as boolean operations (union, subtraction, intersection), extrusion, offset, taper, shell, etc. are possible only with solid or surface objects. Moreover, there is no way to convert a mesh into a solid so that the solid modeling operations can be carried out on it. Mesh To Solid for AutoCAD solves this problem by giving AutoCAD the ability to convert a mesh to a 3D solid.

Meshes in AutoCAD are of two types: PolyFace Mesh and Polygon Mesh. Mesh To Solid for AutoCAD can create a solid from both these types of meshes.

Mesh To Solid
for AutoCAD is designed to be extremely user friendly and easy to understand. To convert a mesh into a solid simply run the "MSConvertMesh" command and select the meshes you wish to convert. Truly, software made simple!

IMPORTANT! Purchasing a Subscription is highly recommended since it the most cost effective way of keeping your software up to date. Moreover, Subscription entitles you to get a second free perpetual license for your laptop, among many other benefits. For details please read the SYCODE License and Subscription Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).

Our licenses are single computer licenses and are locked to each computer they are installed on. Basically, the license key is specific to the computer's Host ID (the MAC address of the computer), and will not work on another computer. The installer picks up the physical MAC address of the network card connected to the computer which is basically “Ethernet adapter Network Connect Adapter”. So unless you change your network card, the key will always work even if you reinstall your operating system. If your internal network is periodically assigning a different Host ID to your computer, then please find a solution for this with your IT department.

Note: Downloading this software indicates your acceptance to the SYCODE Software License Agreement. The price mentioned above is for a single user license. For your bulk-licensing needs please contact us.

These commands are housed in a new menu called "Mesh To Solid" which is added to the AutoCAD menu. The commands added are:

  • MSConvertMesh - Convert a mesh into a solid

  • MSOptions - Display Mesh to Solid for AutoCAD options

  • MSMeshProperties - Display Mesh to Solid for AutoCAD options

  • MSMeshMerge - Display Mesh to Solid for AutoCAD options

  • MSHelp - Display the Mesh To Solid for AutoCAD help file

  • MSRegister - Register your copy of Mesh To Solid for AutoCAD
