Mesh To Solid for AutoCAD - Mesh to 3d solid conversion plug-in for AutoCAD


This tutorial is a continuation of the previous tutorial. In this tutorial we will create a solid from a mesh stored in an external mesh file.


Step 1: Delete the mesh created in the previous tutorial.

Step 2: Select Convert Mesh File from the "MeshToSolid" menu or type MSConvertMeshFile at the AutoCAD command prompt and press Enter.

Step 3: The AutoCAD Open dialog box is displayed. Browse for the file C:\Program Files\SYCODE\Mesh To Solid for AutoCAD\Samples\Sample 5.obj and click Open.

The figures below shows the mesh file used in this tutorial and the solid created from it.

The above figure shows a solid created from mesh.

The mesh in the OBJ file is converted into a solid on the current layer and the result of the operation is reported in the command window.
