DWG Export for Solid Edge - AutoCAD DWG file export add-in for Solid Edge

This tutorial provides the necessary information and hands-on experience to help you get started with DWG Export for Solid Edge.


Step 1: Start Solid Edge.

Step 2: Start Solid Edge (if you haven't already).

Step 3: Select Open from the File menu. You will be presented with the Open File dialog box. Browse for the file typically located in ("C:\Program Files\SYCODE\DWG Export for Solid Edge\Samples\Piston.sat") and click Open. 

Step 4: The Solid Edge New dialog box will pop up. Select any .par and click Ok. This will import the SAT file as a new part document.

Step 5: Run the Export command (Applications >> Add-Ins >> DWG Export for Solid Edge >> Export).

Step 6: The Save As dialog box is displayed. Select an output DWG file name and click Save.

Step 7: The DWG Export for Solid Edge Options dialog box is displayed. Select the options and click Ok.

The model will be exported to the DWG file you specified.
