3DS Import for IntelliCAD - 3D Studio 3DS file import plug-in for IntelliCAD

This command imports geometric data from ASCII and Binary 3DS files into IntelliCAD.


To Import a 3DS file

1. Select Import from the 3DSImport menu or type 3DSImport at the IntelliCAD command prompt and press Enter.

2. The IntelliCAD file Open dialog box is displayed. Browse for the 3DS file you wish to import and click Open.

3. The 3DS Import for IntelliCAD Options dialog box is displayed. Set the Options as required and click Ok.

Note:  An IntelliCAD polyface mesh cannot contain more than 32,767 vertices and/or faces. If you select to import the 3DS model as a polyface mesh and if it exceeds this limit then 3DS Import for IntelliCAD will import the model as a set of 3D faces. This is a limitation of IntelliCAD and not of 3DS Import for IntelliCAD.
