3DS Export for SolidWorks - 3D Studio 3DS file export add-in for SolidWorks


This tutorial provides the necessary information and hands-on experience to help you get started with 3DS Export for SolidWorks.


Step 1: Start SolidWorks.

Step 2: Open the file "C:\Program Files\3DS Export for SolidWorks\Samples\Knob.SLDPRT".

Step 3: Select Export from the 3DSExport menu.

Step 4: The SolidWorks Save As dialog box is displayed. Enter the name of a 3DS file and click Save.

Step 5: The 3DS Export for SolidWorks Options dialog box is displayed. Move the slider to the desired resolution and click OK.

The 3DS file will be created in the location you specified.
