3DM Import for Bricscad - Rhinoceros 3DM file import plug-in for Bricscad
| Menu Button | 3DMImport > Import |
| Command | 3DMImport |
This command imports a mesh from a 3DM file.
This command reads mesh
objects from a 3DM file and adds them as PolyFace mesh objects to the
active drawing. The 3DM file format is the native file format of
Rhinoceros, the NURBS modeling software from McNeel.
To Import a 3DM file
1. Select Import from
the 3DMImport menu or type 3DMImport at the Bricscad
command prompt and press Enter.
2. The
Bricscad file Open dialog box is displayed. Browse for the 3DM file you
wish to import and click Open.

3. The 3DM Import for Bricscad Options dialog box is displayed. Set the options as required and click OK.

Note: When importing a 3DM file object whose vertices exceed the PolyFace Mesh limit, the object will be imported as individual 3D Face objects instead. This is an Bricscad limitation. In such a case, when converting the mesh into a solid select all the 3D Face objects.
